Snow Day!
Snow Day!!!
Well, the weatherman was right this time. We got a winter storm last night, and I was greeted this morning to several inches of snow. I hate winter - the cold and the snow, and all the comes with it, but the sight of the trees this morning is absolutely beautiful.
The kids will be happy when they awake to find all the snow, and the report that school is closed for the day. We have a small hill in our backyard, and all the neighborhood kids come over and sled and snowboard on it. It is fun to see them all out there enjoying what mother nature has bestowed upon us. I guess I'd better be prepared with lots of hot chocolate to go around.

So, that's where all the snow went! they completely screwed up our forecast again. We were expecting freezing rain and then 3 inches of snow. What we got was plain old rain. My kiddos will be very jealous of your snow day. Love the picture!

Today, the school that I used to work at had a snow day (I saw on Facebook; one of the teachers posted it). I don't live there anymore, in that town, but where I currently live has also got a lot of snow. I don't know if the local schools got a snow day or not, but we definitely have enough snow for at least a 2 hr delay! It looks pretty outside, but looked even better last night when the big fluffy flakes were falling from the sky and through the street lights.
